The food was Awesome!!! Brisket really tender Mac and cheese good cornbread good banana pudding good. The lady was nice funny and confident in the food,which I loved.
Wayne was super helpful and friendly when I stopped in for 5 lbs of NC pulled pork barbecue. The price, quality, and taste are great! This was my first visit and I'll definitely be back.
Just wow. This little BBQ joint tucked away in what seems like a random shopping center is by far some of the best BBQ I've had. I had the pleasure of being served by Donnie the Pit Master himself. You can tell the care and dedication he spends preparing the meats for his restaurant. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal and really good BBQ.
Ordered take out today, the #2-3/4 lb of meat w/ 2 sides. I went with the fatty brisket and Kansas City pulled pork with a side of collards and Cole slaw. Corn bread included. One of the better BBQ places in the 757. Great juicy flavored portions….oh yeah and the price!
Donnie's Barbeque is like stepping into your uncle's backyard. Whether your idea of traditional Southern barbecue is Kansas, NC or Virginia style, this veteran owned shop does not disappoint. Service is top notch. My wife came in for lunch on a Saturday and were immediately greeted by both pit masters, who enthusiastically talked about their bbq, homemade sauces and iced tea. In order to try most of their menu, my wife ordered the pulled pork, and myself, their brisket, sausage and sides. All were well seasoned, flavorful yet balanced. The sides were delicious too.
Loved the BBQ restaurant. Feels like home. Donnie is a great chef and loved to make everything from the scratch. The meat is soft and has a great variety of options for groups and individuals. Price is moderate for all the food with the sides. Super clean kitchen and bathrooms. Best costumer service 10/10. DONT BLINK THIS US THE ONE
Stopped in yesterday with my kids for lunch. We were greeted with a smile and didn't feel rushed to order. Two of us ordered the BBQ Sundae and my youngest ordered mac n cheese. Portions were large, delicious and very filling. We will absolutely be back!
Great BBQ and super affordable lunch specials! I had the KC pork sandwich because we don't typically see that style in this region and it was excellent. Smoked green beans were also delicious! Good variety of sauces, if you're into that. Definitely worth a stop.
